Marcello’s is right in the middle of the Protaras strip and was right opposite our hotel. It always looked really busy so on our last night we thought we’d give it a try. Since coming home I’ve read some reviews of it and realise that it was particularly busy because it has links with the hotel next door and allow a certain number of guests to eat there each day.
We managed to get a table as soon as we arrived but once seated there was a queue building up. The menu is simple but full of Italian classics. The kitchen is open and we were seated able to see in watching the chef’s make fresh pizzas. The decor was simple and modern.
I opted for a starter here (last night blow out) and ordered a bruschetta. A bit disappointed that the bread wasn’t warm but the topping was lovely and the tomatoes were so sweet!
My main course wasn’t as attractive as my best friend’s so I’ve opted to show you hers. The pasta menu gave you the choice of which pasta shape you would like and then a variety of sauces. Eve chose the seafood fusilli, and her mum had the seafood tagliatelle. Both said it was their favourite meal of the holiday! I had the Amatriciana which was also lovely but I much preferred the one I had at Molti.
